Placement + Surroundings A local bar in The Western District + There's drunk people around

Clothes A black dress, with tights and black boots Link
- Extra information: On the level of supernaturally beautiful + Addicting powers (Read for extra info) + She's 1,60 (1,64 with the high heels) + Her hair reached her mid-back and she's not wearing makeup.

Thread is dedicated to: Milena "@Millie" Nevenka Smolarek
________________________

She'd practice getting out of the house unnoticed, to not be seen by either staff or her family, as she knew what she was doing wasn't allowed, yet she felt tempted to do it either way. Her whole life had been dictated by her father's wishes, by the hatred of her mother and her brother's overprotective nature. Yet she also wanted to be allowed to live, allowed to decide how her life was going to be and which directions, while she also knew it wasn't going to be easy, it meant that she had to try out things, to figure out if this was what she wanted. She'd always enjoyed going outside, so being out and about at a different time of day, from what she was so used to be now, seemed like a great idea to begin with. The clothes themself had been a big problem, besides getting out, yet she'd found them at a boutique she'd walked by so often. How to style her hair beautifully or put on makeup, was at this point so unknown to her, she simply didn't wanna tempt fate by doing something.
She'd been quite surprised by how beautiful the night was, not the concept of it being beautiful, as she would often admire it from her room, yet actually walking outside on the streets and being able to look up, it was peaceful in a sense of the way. She felt more exposed in the nighttime, yet also more powerful, she wasn't covered up in the same way as in the daytime, yet she had no idea how the world worked at this stage of her life. Which might also be what tempted her so much, especially towards breaking her father's strict rules.
As she walked throughout the streets, it would differ whether it was empty or if she would find a homeless person sleeping by the alleyways or the side of the streets. In a sense she felt sorry, she knew her family had a lot of riches, and she just wanted to be able to do something, to help them get better and happy. It was the naivety of her way, wanting to be able to fix everything and help everyone, even if logic told her this wasn't possible. Maybe she didn't want to listen to logic, maybe she just wanted to do whatever she could or wanted to.
The empty streets turned more lively, as she came to a bar, not one she knew by name or for that matter had ever visited before, it hadn't been one she'd walked by on her daily walks, yet the music from inside tempted her towards the door. It had been much like the hypnotic songs of a sirene, tempting sailors to their death, in this case, it was just towards something unknown and maybe even dangerous. Yet she didn't really care, and as she walked inside, she got closer to a bare spot, in which she could look directly at the woman playing.
It had been the music that had tempted her inside, yet as her gaze lingered on the short blonde hairs, she found herself rather mesmerized. Not that this woman was the most beautiful being, yet there was a charm to her, like she'd experienced a long life and had so many things happen, she could almost be fat with experiences. Yet Persephone didn't now, and yet she wanted to know, she wanted to see and hear all these hypothetical experiences. But at this moment, she just enjoyed the music, with a smile coming to her lips.

It was a busy night and as always that meant a good night to work. Millie had pumped herself up before hand, having a few drinks and a few cigarettes before it was her on stage. The venues often waited with putting her and her mates on until later in the night because ... Well they had a tendency to make the crowd go wild. She had gained a bit of notoriety being a freelancer, having played with rather well known musicians, but that never kept her from trying to play her own stuff when she had the chance. This night had a sick turnout, the local bar stuffed with people of all shapes and sizes - hell she even recognized some that had come to another one of her shows a few weeks back! That was perhaps the coolest thing, when people returned to hear what she had to give them.
They were playing one of her current favorite tracks to perform, the crowd going wild, mosh pits and people throwing themselves all over. In the ends they were all misfits that were coming together in a place where they all knew they belonged. It had its own peculiar beauty to it. Chaotic and wild, and yet serenity ruled over a crowd that moved along to the sick tones and crazy beats. Those who were more experienced with shows like these typically took on a role of policing what was going on on the floor. This was a safe space, not a place for degenerates to take advantage of newcomers.
That was why when Millie spotted a guy grabbing at a girl she had never seen before in the crowd she knew she had to do something. Call it stupidity - or the luck of the preshow shots - but she lunged herself in to the crowd that went wild as her boot hit the guy right in the face. Standing over him, she spat on him, the music being cut out as she was thrown a microphone that she caught. "Get this molester out," she hissed in to the speaker before she tried calming herself, her whole face an body covered in sweat from performing, but her makeup was miraculously surviving. Her eyes moving to the beautiful and yet rather doe-eyed girl that had been the guy's main focus. "Are you alright, baby?" her voice sweet as her singing, and as melodic as it had been on the stage.

PostSubject: Re: A night at a bar, what could go wrong?   A night at a bar, what could go wrong? EmptySat Feb 05, 2022 9:46 pm

Most, if not all of her attention, had been towards the performance, so she hadn't noticed the man before she then felt his hands on her. She wanted to push him away, knowing it wouldn't be good, if he was to touch her skin, which luckily had been mostly covered up, due to the amount of fabric on the dress. This had been the first time in a long time since someone had touched her in that way and mostly against her will. She'd been used to people touching her against her will when she'd been younger, yet after her father had forbidden her from leaving the family house, it had been quite a lot better. With her powers being as complex as they were, she should be used to it by now, yet it didn't mean she enjoyed it. Being touched was intimate, and it had consequences to touch her, meaning she'd mostly gotten used to the idea of either never being touched again, or having people forcing themself on her, just because they'd gotten a taste of what she could give.
She'd hoped someone would do something, as the man had grabbed her, and while the surrounding audience members, it appeared she'd gotten saving grace from the beautiful singer. Though it was quite a look, as the other woman jumped from the scene, almost as if she'd been a hawk dipping towards her prey, in this case, that being an asshole of a man, thinking he was allowed to grab whatever he wanted to. For the first time out of the home, and especially at this time of night, she felt disgusted that someone had just grabbed her in that way, but also good that someone had come to her aid so fast.
She didn't know how to react to it all, her first instinct when he'd touched her, was to get away, though as the other woman had helped, she hadn't quite figured out what to do. So it was only when she heard a voice talking to her and she realized it had been the singer, asking if she was okay, that she came back to reality. Her eyes flickered for a moment before she met the blonde woman's eyes "I'm okay," one could almost see a hint of a smile on her soft rosy lips "Thank you, you know for helping me." She hadn't thought that would happen, but she was happy there had been someone to help her.

PostSubject: Re: A night at a bar, what could go wrong?   A night at a bar, what could go wrong? EmptySat Feb 05, 2022 9:58 pm

Millie was a no-bullshits kind of girl, so as she barked orders, some of the other patrons from the venue grabbed the guy, dragging him and his broken nose out of here. She was angry. Angry at those fucked up men who just took and took, and all their toxic masculinity had no place at her shows, that was for sure. Though her first priority right now was making sure the girl involved was alright. The human had many a mythical over the years, but this one was probably the prettiest one ever, even if thinking that made her feel bad for looking. "Don't thank me, babes, we're in this together, alright, pigs like that deserve much more than a boot to their face," she assured her, sending her a warm smile. It was fun how crazy she could be on stage compared to how sweet and collected she was standing here having a conversation.
Turning her head she looked up at her bandmates, they were clearly gawking a bit as well, but she simply rolled her eyes at them, "do you smoke?" she asked, gathering that she might need a bit of air. "Don't worry, my lovelies, I'll be back in a few minutes - Sam! Entertain our audience!" she barked orders at the guitar player who seemed to snap out of his trance, nodding and clearly more scared to not follow orders. The drummer started banging away and Millie nodded towards a door beside the stage, gesturing for the stranger to follow.
Passing through the makeshift green room, she grabbed her fluffy coat that she pulled over her arms, along with her zippo lighter and her banged up pack of cigarettes. Out back was a small alley, one where they could be left alone from prying eyes. Offering her a cigarette first she ended up popping one between her own teeth, lighting it to get her nicotine fix. Yeah, smoking for humans were bad, but she had picked up the habit as a young teen and she hadn't been able to let it go since. "Haven't seen you 'round here before; What's your name, sugar?" it was clear Millie liked using small nicknames for people around her. She wasn't sure where it came from, but maybe it stemmed from being around a lot of people and not always being able to remember their names at first.

She didn't quite understand what the woman meant with her words, so she mostly smiled and tried to seem as if she did get it. Would she have had a normal childhood, with parents who either didn't hate her or completely just locked her up, she would probably have a higher understanding of what was meant. Though she did in some way get it, with the comment comparing the man to a pig, which she, in turn, did find rather funny. Already now, she could sense that she'd never met anyone quite like this blonde one, she rarely spoke to anyone outside of her home, even when going on her daily walks, so this was actually rather refreshing.
The question regarding the smoke, which she didn't know what meant and never got the chance to answer before the woman yelled out something to a Sam and then that she would come back. Even if she didn't answer the question, she did follow along as the woman nodded towards a door and then walked towards it. She wondered what they would talk about, though she couldn't quite come up with a conversation topic that would be realistic.
As they got outside, the first thing she did was to look up and at the sky, which was one of her favourite things to do, though as yet another question came, her smile got bigger "I'm Persephone, what is your name?" she asked curiously, tilting her head slightly, as she both looked at her with curiosity, but also admired her "I really enjoyed your singing, it was actually the reason I came into this place," she admitted, as the smile reached her eyes.

A night at a bar, what could go wrong? Empty

The girl seemed a bit out of it, not that Millie blamed her one bit! Such an incident, as it had happened inside, was not an easy feat to stomach. If you asked the human, it was something nobody ever deserved to go through, so she just kept her focus on the mythical in front of her, hoping she would start talking just a little bit. Persephone? Odd name, but she didn't put it past the elder generation to name their kids something pretentious these days. "People just call me Millie," she assured her, her own smile warming up as it seemed this Persephone seemed to open up a bit more. The compliment making her chuckle in response, "thanks cutie, that's really great to hear," she smiled, inhaling from her cigarette, leaning a bit back against the damp wall of the bar's outside.
Up high above them the stars were winking at them, shining down on them from so many lightyears away that most of them were probably dead by now. It always made Millie feel so small, safe in a way. "I read some place online that one of the reasons scientists know the universe isn't infinite is because of the stars we can see," she said, breathing out the heavy smoke from her cigarette that was ushered away on a small nightly breeze that passed through the alley. It made her shudder a bit, pulling her coat closer around her, even if she had just been sweating her ass and tits off inside. "If it was infinite, then there'd be so many stars in the sky that there would be no darkness at night," she explained, not that she was an expert, but maybe it was good talking about something to get her mind off of what had happened. Millie sure enough still felt the anger pulse through her body. "It's pretty cool," she shrugged, looking towards Persephone with a half smile on her lips.
"Now, excuse me if I'm rude, but Persephone is kind of a mouthful ... Would you mind it if I called you Persie?" she flashed a friendly smile.

PostSubject: Re: A night at a bar, what could go wrong?   A night at a bar, what could go wrong? EmptySun Feb 06, 2022 4:28 pm

She nodded, noting the choice of the name being given from the other woman, she herself had been growing up, where nicknames were rarely given out, and most people either called one by their full name or that of a surname. Though, as she'd experienced certain parts of the world, via that of her daily walks, she'd gotten the chance to see a lot more of the world, meaning the small things such as nicknames or drinking wasn't as new as they could be. This didn't mean it was mundane for her, but it became easier and easier to handle. It didn't take her long to realize, that Millie was rather affectionate, in the usage of pet names, and the way she acted, she felt as if there was a clear mix between someone that did what they wanted, but also this affectionate part, that wanted to make sure people felt good around her. This was different from what she was used to, though, if she was to compare Millie to someone else, it would be Simon, who'd been sending her poetry and messages throughout the last few years.
"I've read that too, it's quite fascinating," she loved reading, and would often read all kinds of genres and different topics, such as for instance space "Stars are beautiful, I mean they say the stars we are looking at right now, are stars of the past. So it's like looking into the past in some way." She ran her fingers through her hair, gathering some locks and putting them behind her ear, all while her eyes lingered on Millie. However, how much she lack connections to other women, she did think of Millie as rather cool, with how comfortable she seemed in her own person and her surroundings. With the sudden question towards her name, she raised her eyebrow questioning, yet her smile broke out once more when it was just regarding shortening it "I don't mind it, I mean I'm not used to it, but I don't mind it."
Her head tilted slightly "How long have you been singing?" she asked curiously, wanting to continue this conversation with Millie, and not making it get to awkward, in which she'd learned asking questions often helped.

A night at a bar, what could go wrong? Empty
PostSubject: Re: A night at a bar, what could go wrong?   A night at a bar, what could go wrong? EmptySun Feb 06, 2022 5:35 pm

This chick seemed rad, at least compared to some of the conversations she had had within the last year. Millie was still trying to find her way in life, and while music was something she was certain of always being a passion, she wasn't sure where in life she would go. But that was a part of the interesting things about life; It went on and on - well until it didn't and you were six feet under in a wooden box. Being relieved that Persephone approved of the nickname, she chuckled, inhaling from her cigarette once more, just relaxing in this shared space. Perhaps Millie had needed this little break as well? Not that the work-a-holic would ever admit to it, but she wasn't good at taking time off. Even less so in this town where her ex could be lurking around every corner.
"Been singing since - fuck - I guess since I could talk," she muttered, scratching her lower lip with the nail on her thumb, blowing out the thick air from her lungs before she snuffed the now used cigarette out against the damp wall she was leaned against. Opting to take another out of her packet, she lit it and inhaled. "Hmmm, I would say since I was 15 - that was when I joined my first band," she said, rolling the cigarette bud between her fingers, squishing it a little, "But I guess earning money from it has only happened within the last five years; I get hired mostly for playing bass or doing backing vocals." Though that was not something she was ashamed of or disliked. She felt lucky to even work in this business, even if it could be rough.
"I really like your dress," she smiled, reaching down to brush some cigarette ash off of her bare thigh. She wasn't really wearing anything special herself, but she always got so sweaty up on stage, so it didn't really matter. "I mean, it's a bit modest for me, but it highlights your femininity," she added with a soft chuckle, though it wasn't a bad thing. She decided to just snuff out the cigarette, cramming the half smoked one back in her banged up packet before nodding for them to go inside. "Listen, cutie, I gotta finish up my set for the night or else my band mates might split the loot without me," she chuckled, taking off her jacket and just throwing it on one of the leather couches. "How about a deal? I go out there and rock my flat ass off, and if you like it, then you have to buy me a drink afterwards?" she suggested, but hurried off before Persephone could answer.
She joined her band on stage, the crowd going wild once more as they had a few more numbers to play before the next band was up.

A night at a bar, what could go wrong? Empty
PostSubject: Re: A night at a bar, what could go wrong?   A night at a bar, what could go wrong? EmptySun Feb 06, 2022 5:53 pm

She'd never been considered much of a talker, she liked listening to what others had to say. As a child, she'd been told her opinions or passions didn't matter, so she never really knew how to connect to someone else, other than asking them questions or by putting work into knowing about their passions and dreams. It made her feel lonely, yet she also enjoyed being able to get that light in someone's eyes, when they talked about something they loved, getting to know what this particular thing was, that could be the hard part.
She made a few nods, her eyes lingering on Millie's, though a few times she would allow herself to admire the rest of the other woman's face, before then going back to focusing on the words and the context behind them. Being able to know about different people's lives, made it easier also to understand how the world worked, and how people were different from what she'd grown up with and they were. Someone like Millie would never have been someone she'd been allowed to talk to if her father or for that matter, her brother had been in the deciding chair.
She wanted to ask more questions, but she'd been taken back by the passion or at least the honesty. Though it had been the compliment that had surprised her, making her blush for a moment, as the smile grew larger "thank you, that's very kind of you. I really like your hair." She enjoyed compliments, both getting them and receiving them, of course, she enjoyed getting them more. It made her feel special and most of all, it made her feel validated in a way she'd always wanted and needed.
Had she thought Millie had been fast with her words before, it would have seemed like nothing compared to the amount of information that came out, as the blonde woman got done with her cigarette. She didn't even get to answer on whether or not she would go for the deal, which she of course was going to. Yet before she knew it, she was standing alone and a bit more confused. Quickly she got around to the front and then got inside once again, placing herself by the bar, so that she would be able to see Millie play, yet also sit down more comfortably than she'd been standing.

A night at a bar, what could go wrong? Empty
PostSubject: Re: A night at a bar, what could go wrong?   A night at a bar, what could go wrong? EmptySun Feb 06, 2022 6:32 pm

Millie knew she was a bit all over the place, but frankly time was money and she hadn't come here to chat up girls - even if she was doing this more to make sure Persephone was alright to go back inside. Once she had sorta caught the sweet mythical, she couldn't help but watching her slightly from the stage. The way she could see she hadn't left the venue was a good sign, right? Besides she still had a lot of things she wanted to ask her about, and getting to know people was kinda Millie's whole life at the moment.
Her and the band played a few more songs, luckily without any more mishaps of people grabbing others. In fact everyone seemed at a hyped mood once the band got off stage, multiple people asking to buy them drinks and shots. While Millie was not one to ignore her fans, she did excuse herself to join Persephone up at the bar, tapping her lightly on the shoulder. The human had a smile as wide as her face, sweat on her forehead from the bright lights, coupled with the fact that she was always jumping around. "Hello, cupcake," she smiled, sitting down next to her, the bartender placing down a few drinks for her and she smiled, thanking the guy behind the bar. "I see I didn't scare you away," a lighthearted chuckle escaping her lips as she grabbed around a random drink, taking a sip to make her throat feel less dry. "Now, I need your honest opinion; What did you think of the show as a whole? Not just my singing," no, she had already been praised for her voice tonight, she wanted to hear what the mythical had picked up on.

A night at a bar, what could go wrong? Empty
PostSubject: Re: A night at a bar, what could go wrong?   A night at a bar, what could go wrong? EmptySun Feb 06, 2022 6:51 pm

She'd enjoyed the show, the eye contact she would make every once in a while with Millie, while the band played. She had to admit, she liked the contrast between stage Millie and the one she'd meet behind the scenes. The difference was quite deep, so she felt like she in some ways were honoured to get to know the more private version, of the one everyone knew had rocked along with on the stage. For a first time out in this way, she was really enjoying herself and having a good time, mostly thanks to the blonde woman.
As the show was over, her eyes went on to look at the people around her, taking in how they acted and how she assumed everyone wanted her to act and for that matter behave. She was a very emotional person and deep down just wanted to belong, she copying others movements, was for her a way of trying to fit in. Though, she didn't get to do much, before she felt the tap on her shoulder and turned around to be faced with Millie once again, even if it was quite a sweatier version of her.
"Oh no, not at all. Actually quite the opposite, if I'm being honest." She turned to face her, her smile once again growing and reaching her eyes, which almost seemed to glimmer. Maybe it was the naivety in her or the fact she didn't have many connections to people, but she enjoyed the company of Millie, enjoyed her honesty and her passions for what she was doing, but also how she just seemed to rest comfortably in herself.
She chuckled, finding the question cute "I think it's wonderful, it's not something that I've grown up with, but it has life and you all seem comfortable in one another," she didn't know how to explain it, but she wanted to try and give her perspective on it "I liked that it wasn't something I've heard before, I mean it's like trying some new food and then finding out you love it. I feel the same way towards your music, you're all talented in your own way and it just mixes together perfectly." She smiled, her hand reaching for the glass, as she'd seen Millie doing and curiously she tasted the contents, making a strange face while doing so. She'd never drunk alcohol before, or rather she'd done it, but it had mostly been a bit of wine when her brother had given her some, but other than that she'd never actually tasted hard liquor before.

A night at a bar, what could go wrong? Empty
PostSubject: Re: A night at a bar, what could go wrong?   A night at a bar, what could go wrong? EmptySun Feb 06, 2022 7:42 pm

Millie liked hearing other's opinions. Not that she liked critiques, but she liked being challenged. If a person could tick her off it just meant she could discuss things with them rather easily. But the mythical sounded almost polite, and while it surely didn't sound like she had been around this scene before, it wasn't like she looked out of place either. These days people of all shapes, sizes and looks just joined in on music if it hit their fancy. Though Millie had an easier time imagining the girl in front of her listening to classical music than jumping around in a mosh pit - but perhaps that was her own fault in judging someone by their looks. "You speak so ... Refined," she chuckled, swirling her drink a little, making beautiful light curtains on the inside of the glass. "There's nothing wrong with it, but you sound like someone plucked you out of a fairytale," she smiled, clearly not trying to offend her. On the contrary, Millie liked hearing her voice. Her own was plagued by her accent, at least if she said so herself. Some days she felt like she sounded so stereotypically Polish that she even refused to record songs. Other days were easier and words just ran freely from her tongue.
Her band was slowly starting to pack their equipment down, making sure none of their instruments got damaged. "Speaking of food, I'm actually starving - Would you like to come along and get something to eat? My treat?" already feeling how her stomach was growling from only ingesting alcohol. Millie had a strange ritual where she refused to eat before a performance, scared she would end up puking on the audience. Though she had eaten once before a show where nothing had happened, so perhaps it was just one of those superstitious things more than an actual real excuse. "I have to help pack the car first, but I was thinking afterwards?" She didn't mind if they stayed here for a while, but her band was probably going to head home or go join some club down the street. Millie was quite energetic, but she always was after a show. Adrenaline pumping, pores open and eyes wide awake. It wasn't even like she took drugs, she just got high off of being the entertainment.

A night at a bar, what could go wrong? Empty
PostSubject: Re: A night at a bar, what could go wrong?   A night at a bar, what could go wrong? EmptySun Feb 06, 2022 7:59 pm

The sudden comment on her way of speaking did make her stop everything she did, even if just for a moment. She'd never noticed that she spoke in a different way than someone else might find normal, or rather she didn't notice it until this very moment, now that it had been pointed out to her. Maybe it had been the private tutors or the upper-class life she'd been living, that made her way of speaking and her choice of words, far posher than most people in the area she was currently at.
Her eyes flickered, and she wasn't sure what to say, though as she got compared to that of a fairytale, she could feel her heart flutter for the briefest of moments, feeling as if this could be something Simon would have written to her in his poetry, yet here it came so gently from Millie and with no second thoughts "That's very kind of you, I suppose I've never thought of my way of speaking, to be anything other than normal." Granted she didn't have much outside contact and her way of normal, was anything but normal for the population outside of her little home. It had made her a bit shy, with the comment, like she was suddenly conscious of the way she was speaking, even if Milli had pointed out, that there had been nothing wrong with it.
With the comment of food, her stomach made a slight sound, indicating that she herself, was very much hungry or at least she was more inclined to food than she'd been a few moments ago "I would love that, I've never eaten with someone before," her eyes fell down for a moment, before then meeting Millie's gaze "Deal, I'll wait for you outside." She quickly got some money out, to pay for the drinks they had gotten, where she may have given just a tiny bit too much, but she really didn't know what they had been drinking and what it had cost.
She got up from the chair, allowing Millie the possibility of rejoining her band, so that they could get everything done that they needed, all while she herself got outside. She stood by the door, leaning against the wall, as she'd seen Millie doing moments ago. Her eyes darted around, as if curious about their surroundings, though she felt a hard gaze on her. She tried finding it, the gaze that had felt like fire against her skin, but she seemed unable to actually locate the person and then just let it go.

A night at a bar, what could go wrong? Empty
PostSubject: Re: A night at a bar, what could go wrong?   A night at a bar, what could go wrong? EmptySun Feb 06, 2022 8:40 pm

Millie must've looked a little weird as Persephone stated she had never eaten with anyone before. Surely she must've misheard, but she didn't feel like opening that can of worm right now. Not when she could hear Sam and the gang yelling about how to properly pack up her bass, her most precious item, and she could hear they were all disagreeing. Putting a pin in that conversation, she smiled as she agreed to join her, nodding and watching her leave before she hurried over to the group. "Ja pierdolę," she hushed at them, grabbing her bass and showing them how it fit in the casing when done right, "See, that wasn't so hard, now was it?" she said, roughing up their drummers long hair with a shit eating grin.
Helping load up the car was just as important as performing. To her it signaled the end of a good night and the promise of something better in the future. Sam suggested that they head to one of the neighboring clubs, but Millie declined, saying she had another plan for the evening. The drummer wiggled his brows, "with that cutie from the show that you white-knighted?" he teased, earning an elbow to the ribs from Millie as she grit her teeth at him, "none-ya-biz," she hissed making the others exclaim a teasing "ooooooh"-sound. Shaking her head, she grabbed her coat, pulling it on as she flipped off her band mates, making them all giggle and chuckle like small schoolgirls before eventually heading on with their evening.
Millie found the mythical outside leaned up against the damp wall as she couldn't help but smile. "Myszko," she greeted her with a soft smile on her lips, "let's go get something good to eat - are you in the mood for something special?" she asked, basically letting her decide. As long as she got something fatty and sticky, then Millie would be a happy camper. As they walked, she lit a cigarette, trying not to blow air in the direction of the blonde. "Tell me a bit about yourself, I'm very curious," she encouraged her.

PostSubject: Re: A night at a bar, what could go wrong?   A night at a bar, what could go wrong? EmptySun Feb 06, 2022 9:11 pm

As she heard Millie's voice, her head quickly moved towards where she'd heard the voice coming from, a smile coming to her lips as she moved towards her, even if she had no idea what this Myszko meant. She assumed it meant something positive, given the way it had been said and how Millie had looked while she said it. She didn't ask what it meant, or rather she would do it later, as she felt like an idiot asking what it had meant. She got away from the wall, and joined the other woman, as they started walking away from the bar "I must be honest, I do not know what people generally get when it's outside their home." She grimaced a bit, feeling extremely out of place as if she didn't know how to blend in or belong anywhere. She didn't even know what was normal when it came to these kinds of things when one is to choose a place to eat.
"So no, I'm not in the mood for anything special, whatever you want." She smiled at her, as they walked down the streets, her eyes seemed unable to linger at one spot for too long. It was only when she was asked to talk about herself, she met Millie's gaze, unsure of what to say "What would you like to know?" she asked, as she ran some locks of hair behind her ear, a thing she often did when nervous or unsure of what to do.

A night at a bar, what could go wrong? Empty
PostSubject: Re: A night at a bar, what could go wrong?   A night at a bar, what could go wrong? EmptySun Feb 06, 2022 9:25 pm

There it was again. The mention of not quite understanding the so called outside world, or whatever terminology befitted this situation. Her head tilted a bit to the side, "well I am up for a big slice of peperoni pizza,"[/color] she smiled, almost to assure the other that she was not upset by the notion. However she could not hold back her curiosity for much longer, and as Persephone basically gave her the green light to ask away she hummed softly, thinking this through. "Well I suppose my first question is regarding your situation; You keep mentioning not really understanding how things are out here," was that even a question or was that more of a statement? Frowning as she realized she shook her head, wanting to rectify what she had said, "All I'm asking is if you've like been in prison and just got out or if you have like really strict parents or something?" Hopefully the mythical didn't find her questions too intimate, but she could not ignore her own curiosity. Maybe that was a flaw she was needing to work on, but for now she hoped it would pass as more of a way to get the other to introduce herself better. Surely there was more to her than just her first name, though it was a mouthful on its own.
"And a follow up to that would be if there's something you'd like to try but have never been able to?" it sounded innocent on paper, but Millie had a suspicion that this girl was more rebellious than met the eye. Sure, she was relatively modestly dressed, at least compared to the style right now, but there was a wild side lurking somewhere. The human could almost smell it - that and the heavenly smell of toasted cheese, meaning they were heading in the right direction. People passed them, the bars and clubs playing loud music to try and lure people in, but Millie had a mission and that was to get food. Afterwards? Well you never knew what could happen.

A night at a bar, what could go wrong? Empty
PostSubject: Re: A night at a bar, what could go wrong?   A night at a bar, what could go wrong? EmptySun Feb 06, 2022 10:02 pm

It would be a lie if she said she was surprised by the question, which she really wasn't. Maybe she'd been more surprised by how Millie, appeared to have collected and remembered the pieces of information that had been given, as she was not really used to that kind of thing. She wasn't sure how to respond to the question, not that she didn't know the answer, but how did she make it come out, in a way that actually made sense "It's rather complicated, but yes I have a very protective father and brother, so I'm not really allowed to leave the family home," a soft sigh left her lips, she knew it had something to do with her powers, yet she didn't fully understand how they worked or what they did, just that she was a danger.
The next question, made her smile bigger than before "Everything, I mean dressing like you are, dancing around people, drinking alcohol. You know, I wanna have fun, and not care about anyone," a soft laugher left her, as she imagined herself as this funny and sexy woman, being out and having fun, not caring about anyone but herself. She would imagine herself dancing, being considered as beautiful, but also beyond that, she'd even started making this list of everything she wanted to try, so that if it were to happen or if someone asked if she wanted to do something daring, she would have a list of possibilities.

A night at a bar, what could go wrong? Empty
PostSubject: Re: A night at a bar, what could go wrong?   A night at a bar, what could go wrong? EmptySun Feb 06, 2022 10:35 pm

Overly protective male family members was not something she could recognize. No, her own father split before she was even born and her mother? Well they weren't really on speaking terms. Though just because she couldn't empathize, didn't mean she couldn't listen to Persephone explaining it and trying to just be there. Perhaps that was why she opted to ask about what she dreamt with her now freedom. If you could call it that? The world could sometimes feel like a prison in it of itself. The soft laughter however was making Millie feel a certain way. Was that butterflies in her stomach? She hadn't felt that in a long while, but for now she wasn't going to try and take advantage of a sweet woman like Persephone. "Well that's all good things, I suppose, but in this world you can't always count on not caring," she said, though she was unsure if she made her point clear. "What I mean is ... People are going to hurt you, and you won't have any control over it - but you will have control over whether or not you deal with what happens," that was perhaps the best way to put it. Millie wasn't trying to kill her naiveté but realistically speaking she deserved a fair warning.
"Take the guy at the bar I round-housed," mostly because that was perhaps a situation that the two of them could talk about easily, seeing as they had both been there, "he might be one idiot, but there's a lot more when the world is so big and the population is growing every day; And even though I wish I could, I can't be there to kick down every bad guy, you know?" Was she trying to show her that there would come harder and more difficult men to handle? Yes. She saw that as a possibility, but not only men were at fault here. She was betrayed by her ex-girlfriend, so she had a hard time with any gender under the glorious rainbow of life, sex and sexuality.
Reaching the pizza place, Millie put in an order for both of them, deciding to pay as Persephone had paid back at the bar. Moving over to sit down on some small plastic chairs by the wall she turned her head to look outside before turning back to look at the girl next to her. "Okay, now that you've had your fair warning, I am going to dedicate this night to you, munchkin," she smiled, handing her a bottle of soda before the guy up front yelled her name in a broken accent. Millie chuckled, getting up to go grab their slices before returning, handing Persephone her slice. She sat down once more, taking a bite and burning the roof of her mouth on the scolding cheese, but at least it was fresh. "So ..." she said, rubbing her tongue against her burnt insides, "tell me something I can help you with - Dancing? Naked bathing in the ocean? Perhaps climbing a light pole to try and catch a pigeon?" Slinging wild and crazy ideas out, though not disclosing what she had or hadn't tried herself.

A night at a bar, what could go wrong? Empty
PostSubject: Re: A night at a bar, what could go wrong?   A night at a bar, what could go wrong? EmptySun Feb 06, 2022 11:20 pm

Her eyes met Millie's as the other started talking, she wasn't certain if maybe Millie had misunderstood her, while she did have a lot of naivety, she knew of certain evils in this world. By not caring about anyone, she'd meant she didn't want to care about what others thought of her and what they expected of her, she wanted to do what she herself was passionate about or whatever she felt like doing. But rather to stop Millie from talking, she allowed the other to get her point out, while she herself remained silent and listening. She found it heartwarming, that the other woman went out of her way to explain everything in such details and a part of her hoped it was because she may care, or that she was worried or at least something along with those things, yet she knew that had very little possibilities.
She followed her inside the strange place, much like with the bar, she took in everything she could sense around her and her eyes seemed unable to stay still for a very long time. As Millie found them a spot, she sat down next to her "I've had far more nicknames in these hours with you, than I've had my whole life," she laughed at the thought, though she did not mind these pet names, it seemed as if it was second nature to Millie, and she didn't really mind being called different things, it did by far beat being called daughter or that thing. For a moment she wondered, what Simon might call her if they were ever to actually meet in person, and the thought almost made her blush, before she turned her attention towards Millie once more "Bathing in the ocean sounds nice, I've never been near the ocean before, I wonder if it's as beautiful as the pictures." She shrugged and took a slice of pizza, looking at it confused for a moment, before then taking a bite. It tasted funny, not like she expected and not like anything she'd ever had before.

A night at a bar, what could go wrong? Empty
PostSubject: Re: A night at a bar, what could go wrong?   A night at a bar, what could go wrong? EmptySun Feb 06, 2022 11:42 pm

"I will warn you, it's probably real fucking cold this time of year," she giggled, taking another bite that she was a bit more careful with. She liked pizza, well who didn't? But she would call herself a bit of a pizza connoisseur, having tasted quite the selection on her travels around the world. "But hey," she said, covering her mouth as she finished chewing, "I bet we would have the whole beach to ourselves." It wasn't a bad idea, and if she was honest it could turn out pretty funny. "Though if we're gonna do it, I wanna stop by a quick shop and get some cheap towels," yeah, she was not going to walk around drenched in cold water until she got to her apartment. That was not the life she was about.
Eating with appetite, she was quick to scarf down the slice, washing it down with some fizzy soda that made the sticky and oily feeling go away from the inside of her mouth. Slapping her stomach a bit she smiled, feeling quite satisfied with this late night snack. "I'm guessing you're like Cinderella? Probably have a curfew that you need to be back before?" she smiled, not that she found her situation funny, more the fact that she seemed like a proper princess. In fact it wouldn't surprise her if she found out she had been spending the night eating pizza with a real royal.

A night at a bar, what could go wrong? Empty
PostSubject: Re: A night at a bar, what could go wrong?   A night at a bar, what could go wrong? EmptyMon Feb 07, 2022 8:22 pm

She laughed softly "are you afraid of a bit of cold?" she asked, her tone being rather teasingly and a slight glimmer in her blue eyes. When comfortable with someone else, she could be rather teasing, often trying to make jokes of different kinds. Of course, not all were a success, given she didn't actually have much experience with an audience. The idea of them being more or less alone by the beach did make it a bit more intimate, but also if she felt uncomfortable, she wouldn't be having a lot of people looking at her, she could relax and just kinda be herself, though with the added bonus of Millie's company "Deal," she didn't mind them getting towels, it was much better to get back dry, than having to worry about getting sick because of the cold.
She tried eating the rest of her slice, though she did have to admit, she wasn't as big of a fan of Pizza, as it appeared Millie was, not that she didn't enjoy it, but she could come up with a lot of other foods which she would enjoy more. Her eyebrow raised, as Millie made the comparison between her and a Cinderella, which she wasn't too so sure about knowing the meaning behind before it then got explained a bit more "I am allowed a walk a day, and I have to be back before an hour has passed. So yes, in a sense of the way I do have a curfew, though I am being honest with you, I'm actually not allowed to be outside during the night." She chuckled a bit to herself "So I might be a bit naughty right now, breaking all kinds of rules," she knew if she got caught, her father would be furious and a part of her feared what he might do to her, but mostly what her brother would do to her if he'd know what she was doing right now. He hated it when she made connections to other people and most of all simply made conversation, in his world she didn't need anyone but him.

A night at a bar, what could go wrong? Empty
PostSubject: Re: A night at a bar, what could go wrong?   A night at a bar, what could go wrong? EmptyMon Feb 07, 2022 11:51 pm

"Oh I'm always fearful of cold water," she chuckled, shaking her head as she wasn't taking herself too seriously. Millie liked the ocean, and while she preferred it on warmer days, she wouldn't turn down the chance to go swimming on a night like this - even if her lips would turn blue from the cold. She was too punk rock to care about that, right? The deal was struck, they would go grab some towels and perhaps walk to the beach. While it wasn't too far, she was in fact happy that she would have someone to walk with. Hell, maybe she would even pay for a taxi ride back to the city when they were done and shaking from the cool waters.
As Persephone started to go on about how her life seemed structured, it truly did sound like a princess situation. If she started speaking about an evil stepmother as well, she would have no doubts, but alas that was never mentioned. The last remark however made her giggle, placing a hand on her stomach as if to contain her laughter but she liked the spark in her eyes and the way she so clearly yearned for adventure. And adventure was Millie's middle name - no, that was a lie, but you get the point. "I'm really liking you, Persie, you have a wild side, huh?" she chuckled, getting up from her seat once they had finished their slice, or at least until Persephone decided to not finish her piece.
"You know, you've got really pretty eyes," she mentioned, almost as if it was something she had forgotten to say and only now just remembered. Perhaps it was the glimmer in their eyes, how they seemed to light up when they spoke of the world they seemed so eager to explore. Or maybe it was just the fact that she was a pretty girl with a great personality. Either way, she opted not to consider the options for too long, guiding them out and down the street once more. This was another chance at them continuing their conversation. "I know you said your family is very strict, but what are your hobbies then?" she asked, clearly wanting to get to know the person beneath the pretty exterior.
